Perspectives on Digital Communication in India Today
This book is a compilation of selected papers (56 in Total) of research outcome by dozens of scholars presented during the 4 th All India Media Conference-2019 at Udaipur, Rajasthan on September 27-29, 2019.There have been more than 150 abstracts of paper submitted and presented face to face in the conference.
The All India Media conference over the years has indeed become the confluence or Mahakumbh of media education from across the country. It has grown not only in size but also in terms of diversity of content. There is hardly any aspect of media or communication that has not been taken into account.
Rise of the Digital Human” is a serious Endeavor made by the organizers, authors and editors to showcase the latest trends in the field of mass communication, whether it be good old print journalism, television, digital and social media or public relations and advertising. The papers included in it also look at communication and technology, society, governance, psychology, politics and even its impact on health, education, agriculture and science. Not just the current trends, this volume also seek to document future projections for media as also the implications for the society.
Cell phone addiction, phubbing, cyberbullying, fake news, language, E-Commrerce, OTT, VOD, digital learning, visual effects, brand management are among the diverse topics covered in this volume by the most experienced and enlightened faculty from across the country.
The Conference is commitment of Lok Samvad Sansthan – A premier media advocacy organization, had partnered with Rajasthan University, Manipal University, Amity University, Guwahati University and this year with the Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. The UNICEF-Rajasthan continues to be main patron and sponsor for the fourth year in row. The conference is also registering a multinational participation this year, with large contingent from Bangladesh and delegates from Nepal, US, Singapore, Romania and Hungary.
